Privacy policy
Short version: your photos never leave your device. The longer version covers cookies and advertising.
1. Who we are
This policy covers the website Grid Maker at gridmaker.in ("the site"). For any privacy question you can reach us through the contact page.
2. Images you open in the grid maker
Images are processed entirely within your browser using your device's own resources. Your photo is never uploaded to our servers, never transmitted to any third party, and never stored by us. There is no server-side copy because there is no upload step. When you close or reload the page, the image is discarded from memory.
Files you download are generated locally and saved directly by your browser.
3. Information we collect

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you put in the message. We use it only to reply and we do not add you to any mailing list.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard server logs: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring page, pages visited and timestamps. These are used to keep the site running securely and to understand aggregate traffic.
Local storage on your device
To save you setting the tool up again on every visit, the site stores the following in your own browser:
- Your grid settings — rows, columns, line colour, opacity, paper size, zoom and similar preferences, kept in local storage.
- Your display preference — whether you chose the light or dark theme.
- Your most recent image — kept in your browser's IndexedDB database so the tool can reopen it next time.
All three stay on your device. They are not transmitted to us, not readable by us, and not shared with any third party. You can remove them at any time with the Clear saved work button under the download buttons, or by clearing site data in your browser settings. Browser storage is per device and per browser, so nothing follows you to another computer.
If you are on a shared or public computer, use Clear saved work when you finish, or browse in a private window so nothing is kept.
4. Cookies and advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site and to serve advertising.
- Essential: needed for the site to function and to remember your display preferences.
- Analytics: help us understand how many people use the tool and which pages they read, in aggregate.
- Advertising: used by third-party ad partners to serve and measure ads.

Server logs are retained by our hosting provider for a limited period and then deleted or anonymised. Email correspondence is kept only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry.

The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
